Cost and Payments

How much does the course cost?
$16.95

How can I pay?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

Can I pay with a check or money order?
No. We do not accept checks or money orders.

What if I don’t have a credit card?
We also accept debit cards with the Visa or Mastercard logo. If you do not have one, you can purchase a pre-paid card at a variety of local grocery and convenience stores.

Can I take the course when someone else is paying for it?
Yes. Just be sure to fill out the proper billing information with the cardholder’s name.

Can I get a refund?
Once the course has begun, there are no refunds.

Is it safe to give you all of my information?
Yes! Our site runs on a secure server.

Computer/Hardware/Tech

What do I do if I lose my internet connection?
Re-establish your connection, return to the website and log back in. You will be returned to the point that you lost connection.

Do I have to use the same computer the whole time?
No, you can access your account from any computer with an internet connection.

Can you help me if I am having computer issues?
We do not diagnose or repair computer problems.

Is a specific browser required?
All browsers are compatible.

What kind of computer can I use?
You can take our courses on a Mac, PC, iPad, or any mobile device with internet connection, audio and a touch screen.

Does my computer have to have audio?
Yes, audio is required to take the course.

I don't have a printer. How do I print my certificate?
You will not need a printer to take the course, but you will need one to print your certificate. Once the course is completed, you may log in with your username and password to any computer with a printer to print your certificate.

Can I use a dial-up internet connection?
Yes. Dial-up connections will work, but can sometimes be less reliable.

Log In/Registration

I forgot my password! How can I login?
On the registration page, click the “forgot my password” link and follow the instructions.

What is my username and password?
When registering for classes, you need to create your own username and password. We highly recommend you use your email address as your username. Your password can be anything you choose, with a maximum of 8 characters.

I don't have an email address, can I still register?
Email is required for registration. You must create an email if you do not already have one. There are many sites that offer free email accounts, such as gmail and yahoo.

What are “Authentication Questions”?
These questions are for identity validation. Basically, it is to make sure the person that registered for the courses is the same person to take the courses.

My discount code is not working! Why?
Retype the code in carefully. If it still does not work, check the code’s expiration date.

I don't have a printer. How do I print my certificate?
You will not need a printer to take the course, but you will need one to print your certificate. Once the course is completed, you may log in with your username and password to any computer with a printer to print your certificate.

I received an error saying my email address is already in use. What does that mean?
It means you have likely already registered and are already in our database. If you have forgotten your password, click the “forgot my password” link, and follow the instructions.

Certificates

When can I start working?
Once you have completed the course and printed your certificate, you are eligible to work. Your employer may ask for a copy of your certificate.

I lost my certificate. How do I get another one?
We suggest you make multiple copies for your records, but you may request a replacement certificate to be mailed to you for a $8.00 fee. We will not email or fax certificates. You may receive a reprint from the TABC website for free.

When will I receive my certificate?
Once you have completed the course, you will be prompted to print out your certificate. This will be your official certificate, and one WILL NOT be mailed to you unless requested for a fee of $8.00.

I am under the legal drinking age of 21. Can I still take an alcohol course?
Yes, there is no minimum age requirement in order to take an Alcohol Seller/Server course.

I was certified in one state, but then I moved to another state. Am I still certified?
Each state has their own certification requirement. Your certificate has to be valid for the state you are currently working in.

My certification is expiring, is there a way to renew it?
No, there is no renewal process.  You will need to pay and take the course again.

When does my certificate expire?
Your certificate is valid for 2 years, the expiration date will be printed on your certificate.

I have finished a course and I cannot forward to the next one. Why?
These courses, by state law, are timed to give the student enough time to read and comprehend the course. Think of it as being in a classroom, you cannot forward through a class.

The page froze/errored out. What now?
We suggest closing your browser and exiting out of any running programs and restart your computer. Next, return to the website and log back in. You will be directed to the last page you were working on.
